Things to Pack For a Weekend-Long Drive and Camping !

A weeklong drive and camping trip is anyone’s ultimate dream trip as you get away from the fast paced life that grinds you and get to reconnect with yourself, nature, and the few close loved ones who are with you.

While exciting, such a trip must be planned carefully and packed for painstakingly so that it is only great fun and no misfortune. Here are the basics you should definitely double check for when you set out on your weekend long adventure.

Spare tyres: Having one is not enough when you are headed to the wilderness, carry at least two spare tyres.

Fuel tank: Carrying extra fuel is important in case you are headed to a place where you might not find fuel. A few litres, depending on the mileage of your vehicle, should be just enough.

Stocked food bag and cooler: Stocking with more than enough food, water, and other fluids is mandatory when you are going camping.

Sleeping bag and lining: A good lining and comforter will ensure you don't get cold, since the temperatures and wind can be unexpected in a forest. Carry an inflatable pillow to save on space and weight.

4-person tent: While you think a small tent will do the job, you need enough space in your tent to also keep your belongings inside.

Camping chair: While seemingly pointless, a lounging chair comes in really handy when you are out camping and should not be missed if you have the space.

Travel size toiletries: Get smaller bottles of shampoo, soap, sachets, etc which occupy as little space as possible, and hardly weigh at all.

Hand Sanitizer: Soap and water may not be available at all times, and a hand sanitizer is simply faster and more convenient.

Insect repellant, Anti-itch and After-bite cream: Insects are the worst kind of monsters that can ruin any amazing camping trip. Ensure you have all necessary equipment to deal with mosquitoes, and other insects.

Band aids, medical tape, and antihistamine tablets: Allergies may flare up as you enter an area rich with spores and pollen, and small accidents may occur which can be treated with a basic first aid kit.

Plastic bags and rain coat: The rain may interrupt any plans. You need to keep your important belongings dry and safe, and should be ready with waterproof covers for everything.

Whistle and flashlight: Carrying these rather old school things might seem unnecessary but is actually very important. The voices in the wild can be quite deceiving and the night can get much darker during some hours.

Being well prepared is what ensures every adventure turns out to be amazing. If you follow this list and stay ready, there is nothing that can keep you from having the best time on your next weekend drive and camping trip.
